Blessings in Transformation seeks to end family policing (CPS) investigations before they escalate to court by providing know your rights information, advocacy during investigations, and referrals to legal support in New York. This reflects our abolitionist commitment to addressing harm and need at its root, without involving punitive systems.

Know Your Rights

You have rights with the family police. Receive information about what you can do to protect your family from the moment the family police knock on your door. Please note: we cannot provide legal advice or formal legal representation in family court.

Legal Support

You have the right to legal representation. When possible, we will connect you with a public defense organization where you can get legal advice for your specific situation.

Early Defense Advocacy

You do not have to do this alone. We are available to communicate with and accompany you to meetings with child protective caseworkers during an investigation.
